Times vs Post on the Derwood Day Labor Center issue

"Richard Nixon must be spinning in his grave. The Washington Post, which meticulously reported the government's procedural failures, lies and deceit that eventually led to the downfall of President Nixon so many years ago, has lost touch with it's journalistic roots. The Post's January 19, 2007 editorial "A Suitable Spot" blatantly supports the procedural failures, lies and deceit being heaped upon Montgomery County citizens by County Executive Ike Leggett in his Don Quixote quest to build a Day Labor Trailer Park in Shady Grove.

Thank goodness for the Washington Times! The Times' January 18, 2007 editorial "Ike Leggett's End Run" is a wonderful piece noting the moral and legal corruption of the newly installed Leggett regime. Leggett should heed the words of the Washington Times and hold a series of town hall hearings in the Derwood Community to determine the views of the taxpaying citizens rather than kowtow to the trailer park wishes of CASA of Maryland and their illegal alien clientele.

Yes, if the Washington Pest would only dedicate 1/10th the journalistic effort to investigating Gusano Torres as it did Richard Nixon!

As Deep Throat said, "Follow the money!" Why is Montgomery County so anxious to funnel even more money to CASA de Maryland that Ike Leggett makes funding a third, unwanted day laborer center near Gaithersburg virtually the first thing he does after gaining office? What is the REAL motivation? Every year, CASA gets more money and shows less results. Where is the excess money going? What is the quid-pro-quo?
