Gaithersburg Event / Frederick Good News!
Five members of Help Save Maryland attended the Monday Hispanic Liaison meeting in Gaithersburg. We were outnumbered by representatives from a variety of lawless, taxpayer funded groups like CASA of Maryland and a contingent from County Executive Ike Leggett's staff. CASA even bused in a number of non-English speaking illegal alien day laborers to fill in the many empty seats.
Far from an open forum, the event was a contrived shooting gallery where support groups for the Hispanic illegal alien community took pot shots at Montgomery County's senior law enforcement officials. Pander as he does so well, nothing Montgomery County Chief Tom Manger or the other Police Chiefs in the room could say would calm these lawless representatives. Amazingly, Chief Manger held his ground and carefully detailed how the MCPD would enforce outstanding warrants for members of the Hispanic Community including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) warrants for wanted illegal aliens.
For HSM members, its the minimum the Chief should be doing to rid our communities of illegal aliens, yet it only affects a small fraction of the illegal alien population in Maryland. All illegal aliens in Maryland, whether in the ICE system or not, should be detained by MCPD and eventually deported by ICE. But Chief Manger and the Democratic politicians in Montgomery County refuse to allow our police officers to undergo ICE training to allow officers to arrest, detain and deport illegal aliens. But this minimum activity by MC Police is too much for the illegal alien community.
State Delegate Ana Sol Gutierrez (D-Kensington), mouthpiece for the illegal alien community and CASA of Maryland, maligned Chief Manger's position on enforcing and law and unfairly questioned his integrity. Ana Sol cackled on and on,condemning the Chief for being unfair to "immigrants" by enforcing ICE warrants. That was a key theme forthis mostly disrespectful crowd. How dare they enforce the law against the "Hispanic immigrant community"!
Help Save Maryland will continue to fight the illegal alien support groups and the pandering politicians that abuse our tax dollars and support illegal aliens in our communities.

Those Arrested In Frederick Checked For Illegal Status

WBAL Radio as reported by John Patti and Associated Press
Suspected illegal immigrants accounted for nearly one in every 10 people detained by police in Frederick County in the past six months.
Sheriff Chuck Jenkins says the statistics indicate the success of his agency's partnership with federal officials to enforce immigration policies.
Frederick County is the only Maryland jurisdiction participating in a program which trains local officers to check the immigration status of those they arrest. The county joined the program in February.
Jenkins says 9 percent of those processed at the county jail during the six months ending Sept. 26 were suspected of being illegal immigrants. He says 51 percent were arrested by Frederick police, mostly in downtown Frederick or along the section of U.S. Route 40 known as the Golden Mile
